The Isom Tree Farm Experience

Isom Tree Farm began in Fall 2010 when Roland (Dad) planted 1200 Sugar Maple Trees on the property.  Dad would come out every winter from California & with the help of Lauralee (Mom) would tap the mature maples & make maple syrup. Isom Tree Farm was officially founded by Larry & Heather Isom in order to continue the legacy & share the joy of the trees & tree products with our community. 

We began planting Christmas trees in 2018 & added nursery trees for sale in 2022.  We currently have over 3000 trees on the property.  We plant 500-600 Christmas trees each spring! Our syrup took 1st place in the Guthrie County Fair.  

Larry is Vice President of the Iowa Christmas Tree Association, and also a Member of the International Arborist Association.

Heather is a Certified Master Gardener and has an Interior Design Degree. She is also the Panorama Panthers trap shooting coach.

Their daugter, Danica, is 16 and has been working on the farm since it began. She loves driving the tractor and helps with the wreath decorating.

Clint, their 12 year old son, also enjoys helping on the farm. He has been the "supply director" for years and has recently graduated to driving the 4-Wheeler.
